Are You Ready Checklist

How ready are you for the next level God wants to take you to?

The Holy Spirit has been telling us to “prepare” for the great upcoming outpouring of His Spirit and for abundant blessings to be poured on the body of Christ.  We have heard several messages telling us  “how” to prepare and what to do.  Many may even consider themselves ready and just waiting on God, wondering what’s holding Him up?  I question though, if God thinks we’re really ready.  If we were to ask ourselves a few questions, it might reveal an answer different than our initial planned response.

For example:

  • Have we committed ourselves completely to Him?
  • Do we trust Him in all areas?
  • Have we achieved His level of loving one another?
  • Do others see us a separate, set apart, holy or manifesting the things He did?

Perhaps we are not as ready as we think.  After all, what do you think God means when he says,  “Get Ready?” He surely means more than just us searching the clouds for His return. What is it we should be doing with a most holy passion?

Here are some additional thoughts and questions that will challenge us and help us to examine how ready we are:

  • Covenant – Are we rooted in His covenant promises?  How firm is our stand on His promises?  What does it take to distract us from His faithfulness?
  • Commitment – How faithful are we to Him and his work?  Have we grown weary? Are we still on fire or just smoldering? Is our flame burning bright and clear? Do we trust Him in every situation?
  • Cleansing – Are we pure and holy before him through daily repentance?  Do we avoid the appearance of all evil in our Spirit, Soul and Body?  Are we vessels ready for His infilling, or is there cleaning left to be done? What have we exposed His temple to, and would He have approved?
  • Compassion:  Have we learned to love as He does?  When we look at others, do we see Him on the cross in front of them?  Are we moved with compassion for those who are hurting or are we too busy to care?  Whose business are we focused on, His or ours?
  • Consecration: Have we separated ourselves completely unto Him?  Who is on the throne of our lives?  Is there any questions about who guides and directs our thoughts, words and actions? How frequently do we surrender, yield, obey, deny and die to ourselves?

All of the above items are impossible with man, but not with GOD.  His grace is more than sufficient to get us to where we need to be.  The first step is to examine and determine where we are and then to seek His guidance and blessing to move forward.

With open and repentant hearts, let’s seek God’s forgiveness and a fresh anointing of His grace and power to be the people He’s called us to be.
