The Desperate Woman

Key Scriptures:

  • O How Wonderful
  • Through it all

True discipleship is born out of our sheer desperation for God and the hope we have in Him.  As his children, we are assured that we will never be left alone and that His love is from everlasting to everlasting.  So the music never stops and the slow dance never ends.

So run to the Water, rooted in His love, filled with His Spirit, empowered by His grace.  Be more than a Conqueror, a true Witness, His royal Queen, remembering always the endless love of your Most High King!

  • Closing Poem:  The Desperate Woman

The Desperate Woman

Is not like others

She’s desperate for God, not man

The secrets she holds, of the glory of God hidden in her heart

From which she will never depart

She appears like most women, but she’s not

She is a most Desperate Woman

She’s chosen, dedicated, consecrated…misunderstood

And not what you’d think

Her sole desire is to do His will

To be His “favorite girl”

Ever in His presence, fully assured of His love

She’ll often wait before Him,

Kneeling is familiar and tears her makeup

She is most content with silence and the

Insights dropped from Heaven up above

Nothing you see is more important or precious than this

Her Endless Love

The Desperate Woman will let her mascara run all down her face

And you’ll see her often at the altar, although everyone knows she’s saved

She suffers from the heartache of her own sin and she listens most intently

For the whispers that come from Him

You’ll find her crying at the sheer goodness of God

She knows her life is not her own and

is determined that it will not be in vain

She has a Divine Destiny and

She loves to Slow Dance.

VII.  Closing Song: INSEPARABLE  by  Natalie Cole

Inseparable, that’s how we’ll always be, Inseparable, just You and me

It’s so wonderful to know You’ll always be around me

Incredible, what You are to me, Incredible, You bring out the woman in me

With Your style of love, inseparable, yes, we are

We’re like a flower to a tree, like words to a melody of love

There’s no way we can break up, No words that can make us blow our thing

We’re just inseparable, that’s how it is, Inseparable for the rest of our years

It’s so wonderful to know You’ll always be around
