Can you see these nails in my hands?
These are my reminders of a love so grand
These are the nails that Jesus bore
When He hung and died for me
These are His nails…

These are the nails that held him to the tree
That dreadful day, when it should have been me
These are the nails that brought Him much pain
As a sinless Savior, He died in shame

These nails are now mine, you see
I’ve exchanged them for my life
So that I might share His cross &
So that He would now live through me
These are my nails now, for His glory

Yes, these nails in my hands,
They do hurt sometimes
As my will dies daily
And surrenders to the Divine

Nevertheless, bear them gladly I will,
As Jesus did at Calvary
Where these nails He wore,
When He gave His life for me.
