Testimony
My journey with the Lord has been like rollercoaster ride, but through it all, God remained faithful, loving, forgiving and ever present. God is faithful! Believing in Jesus is just the start of our journey with Him. Learning to trust and obey Him, regardless of our circumstances, emotions and expectations is a challenge on another level. God “enrolls” us in the graduate “School of Trust”, and we have unlimited opportunities to retake any class we don’t pass with until we demonstrate complete trust in Him. He is committed to our growth and maturity in Him, and it may not always be pleasant or feel good, but in the end, He works everything out for our good, His glory and we end up looking like Jesus.
In the Beginning
Raised in a Christian home, my faith deepened through college and flourished at a charismatic church where I spent 30+ years, met my husband, raised our family, and in 2006, I discovered my call to India missions. But my Cinderella dream would soon lead to a difficult faith-testing adventure.
Unexpected Detours and Divine Provision
After 27 years of marriage, my husband chose a different path, leaving me devastated but determined. Moving to North Carolina for a fresh start, God revealed His incredible love in healing my heart and rekindling my passion for India missions, taking me back there in 2017.
The Wilderness Years
God called me back to New Jersey to assist with family caregiving. Four crushing years followed: my mother’s stroke, mom’s death from COVID, fractured family relationships, job loss after 41 years, and continued distance from my adult sons. God used these painful circumstances to expose my heart’s condition, teaching me to trust in His sovereignty and to love unconditionally despite how I was treated.
Light in the Darkness
Even in suffering, God’s faithfulness shone bright. He provided ESL certification that opened doors to teach in Brazil summer camps and I return to India in 2019. Despite losing my home and possessions, God always provided financially and gave me shelter through my disabled sister.
Resurrection and Renewal
In 2023, God miraculously returned me to North Carolina, reuniting me with my six-year-old grandson, Azaiah. After 3.5 years with a nonprofit organization, a difficult management relationship led to my unexpected release in 2024, but I recognized this as God’s green light—His answer to my prayers for clear direction to move on. The nonprofit was only meant to be a training ground.
From August 2024 through March 2025, God orchestrated spiritual surgery, healing, and preparation. He transformed every loss—marriage, sons, mother, family acceptance, career—into instruments of perfection, making me more like Christ.
A New Beginning
Through this wilderness, God gave me two dreams: a ministry blog called “Destination Jesus… because nothing else matters” and The End-Times Warrior: A 40-Day Devotional. Having blessed me to write three previous books since 1998, He confirmed this calling in March 2025.
Today, I live in a resurrection season I never could have imagined, with a new understanding of His love and my identity in Him. I’m certain the best part of my story is just beginning as I step into His perfect plans—plans that were always good, even when I couldn’t see them. Jesus was there with me since the beginning of my journey, and I can rest in the fact that He will be with me forever.
