God will move when all is in order, in proper alignment, and when we are ready: The problem is, we still aren’t ready for what He is going to do. We are still immature in our faith and trust in Him and have failed to respond as true disciples, rooted and grounded in His Word, love and trust worthiness.
Key Scripture: Isaiah 1:19 – If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.
Background: It’s been a year of struggle, surprises, some disappointments, some heartaches. Yet, God has beautifully sustained us and enabled us to stand firm in our faith. We have been preparing, sensing and expecting great break though and believing for miracles and dreams to come true. And much time has past and the delay has seemed very long, perhaps much longer that we thought or even imagined it would be. And we wonder, why must we wait so, why is it taking so long….I questioned this as well for myself, and God has responded and provided me with this understanding.
What is required: Personal house keeping. Final testing and preparation is needed for our new level. Something is still not right, something is still in the way, something is still wrong. We need to accept and agree with what He shows us is sin that has not been dealt with and that can no longer continue for where He wants to take us. A final exam. One that must be passed.
It’s always a heart issue, that all God cares about: We are to see what He sees andseek grace to correct our heart and love walk. It’s a question of obedience. A matter of love, our love to him and to others. What’s in the way? Pride, attitudes, self-righteousness, too high an opinion of ourselves? God will let you know, if your dare to ask Him. How bad do you want to know?
The Time is Now: We stand at the crossroad to a new level, one that insists on a certain level of maturity and obedience. What is God unwilling to tolerate any more? He will not anoint an unfit vessel. A death must take place to that final stronghold where we’ve placed our security, hope, strength, confidence and self will. Nothing less than a full surrender will do for where He is taking you. You can’t take it with you. What do you want more, what you are holding on to or the glory of God that is to be revealed in your life? Does it even matter what you want or what He wants? Are you not your own? What would make God smile and say “well done” and “I knew you could pass this test.” What is He waiting for you to do?
When you meet Him at the Crossroad, you’ll say…and He’ll say…
You know I love you, Lord…. ……………………..Then don’t stop now.
But look at all I’ve been through…………………. Yes, I carried you through.
I’m not sure I can do this, in fact I know I can’t…. But I can and I’m in you.
How shall I get to the other side………………….. Just do as I say, your obedience makes the way
But what if I don’t make it………….…………….. You already have
Lord, help me and hold me…………………..……..Just rest and be still
From the Lord:
All you’ve ever needed, I’ve provided
For each and every journey, I’ve guided
There is no reason to doubt me now
I’ve proven to be faithful and true
Just trust in me, as I have trusted in you.
