Many would tell you that as Christians, we should be so full of the joy of the Lord that we are able to dance in the rain. This is true for most days, but it can be very challenging on some days, like when we experience the loss of a loved one, for example. God knows that there are days when we don’t feel like dancing in the rain, Those are the days that our hearts are weary for one reason or another and we simply can’t dance, even when we wish we could.
This reminds me of the deer that I often saw in our back yard, doing what we all need to learn how to do… they simply rest in the rain. It’s a beautiful sight! God doesn’t expect anything more from us that that on some rainy days. He knows “where” we are and just wants us to rest in Him, yes…in the rain. When we do, He’ll provide us with the restoration, hope and healing that we so desperately need. You don’t have to dance on the difficult days… just rest.
