I have learned
That you long to hear me
Cry out to You
It is evidence of my need
And my desperation
Proof that you alone are able
To rescue me

No matter how quiet my cry
You hear me
When no one else knows
You see me, You hear me, You know

You are well acquainted with my grief
And you have shown me much compassion
You do not trample or disregard me
Or consider me utterly useless
But You chose to save me instead

So I'll not forget
To cry out to you with my every need
For you have been proven faithful and true
I can truly rest in You
Your love is sure and unshakable and true
I cry in humble gratitude
