My Crown

The description of the song

My Crown is a song about the temporary loss of our identity in Christ. Life has a way of distracting us from the truth of who we are in Christ Jesus. We become buried in our pain, and in the clutter of our circumstances. But God is faithful to find us,  restore us, and to remind us of who we are in Him. He removes the clutter and gives us back our crown.

My Story

I had forgotten who I was. I was losing the truth of my identity in Christ after several years of difficult circumstances, and pain. My faith was severely tested and my belief in God’s goodness was temporarily lost.  But God was faithful to uncover me from my clutter and restore me and gave me back my crown of identity and purpose in Him.

The Lyrics

My Crown was lost in clutter
Buried under everything
Life had thrown my way

I had forgotten
All You said
I had forgotten
Your truth

Everything I once knew
Was gone…

Yes, I got lost in the clutter
I got lost in my pain
There was only confusion and
I thought this would be my conclusion

I could no longer remember
That you had set me free
That I was complete
and a master piece
That I was a member
Of Your royal family

But I thank You Lord
You didn’t lose me
You found me
Alive
But barely breathing

You healed me
You restored me
Gave me back my crown
And now I am reminded
Truth has once again been revealed
It had never changed

Despite all my circumstances
Despite the pain
My position was still secure
Along with my seat at your table

I’m royalty
I wear a crown
I have a purpose
Because You have a plan

All that was lost
Has been found and
You have left me speechless
When you gave me back my crown

I Thank you, Lord
I thank you for
My crown
