Quietly Rejoicing

The description of the song

This song is about expressing our overflowing gratitude to God for who He is and for all He has done. It’s inexpressible, as there simply aren’t enough words to convey the gratitude we have for the magnitude of all He is and has done for us.

My Story

There aren’t enough words and there isn’t enough time to convey the gratitude that God is worthy of for all He’s done for me. My writing about Him is my way of expressing my gratitude. It’s my “thank you, Lord” in every word, book, poem, story, and song. It’s a beginning at best and I’m grateful I’ll have an eternity to express what He means to me.

The Lyrics

Now That my battle is over
Now that my victory has been won
I’m quietly rejoicing over
Over All that You’ve done

You’ve done so much for me
I don’t know where to start
To explain my journey
But I want all to world to see
That I’m quietly rejoicing
Because You set me free
From me

And
You brought me through
Thick and then
Through mountains
Through valleys
Through sunshine and rain
Through the tears
Through the pain

That’s why
That’s why
I’m quietly rejoicing
Yes, I quietly rejoicing
Over all You’ve done for me

So here am now
Safely on the other side of my red sea
I defeated the enemies that were chasing and that had surrounded me

You were there when I needed you
You were right by my side
The enemy had no choice but to flee
No He didn’t stand a chance no no
He had to go, he was surely defeated
Because You were with me

Since I belong to you
You fight my every battle
Every victory is sure
I only need to trust and have faith in You
And You’ll do what only You can do

Every time,
Every test,
You brought me through
Every trial
Every turbulent sea
You’ve always been with me

And that’s why, that’s why
I’m quietly rejoicing
Over my victory
My freedom
The mercy and the grace
The peace and joy
The kindness and understanding
That You’ve given to me
And now I’m hearing you say
“My Child, there’s still so much more”
You have in store
In store for me

Can’t you see
Can’t you see why
Why I can’t hold my peace
Why I’m quietly rejoicing over all He’s done for me

Oh oh
He loves me
He protects me
He is for me and not against me
He’s my hope, He’s my joy
He’s my everything
Yes, He’s my everything

That’s why…
That’s why
I’m quietly rejoicing
So all will see that
He’s alive and lives in me

Yes, I’ll be forever grateful
And never cease to praise Him
I’ll be quietly rejoicing endlessly
because of all He’s done
For me..
